2 juveniles arrested for shooting outside Martinsburg restaurant

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, have been arrested in connection to a shooting on Foxcroft Avenue in Martinsburg.

Martinsburg Police responded to the Taco Bell at 1020 Foxcroft Avenue at 6:20 pm on September 6 for a shots fired call.

On scene, officers found a 23 year-old male who said he was chased by two males. He said he was shot at by one of the suspects with a handgun.

The victim was not injured.

“The victim had been dining with his family inside the restaurant when the offenders entered and threatened him. The victim had gone into the parking lot where one of the offenders pulled out a gun and fired several shots at him. The victim knew the identity of the person who shot at him and the first name of his accomplice. MPD officers later positively identified them as a 16-year-old and 17-year-old juveniles.”

The juveniles have been charged with attempted malicious wounding, wanton endangerment and conspiracy to commit malicious wounding.

One suspect was found by juvenile probation officers and the second surrendered to Martinsburg Police.
