The Children’s Home Society will host a Foster Care-Adoption Informational Night on Wednesday in Martinsburg.The society serves the Eastern panhandle including Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties and the program is open to any area families interested in pursuing adoption… foster care or both.Adoption Social Worker Kim Scritchfield says the goal of the program is to open their offices as a friendly environment to any one who is interested in participating.She said the main goal of foster care is to get permanent homes for the hundreds of kids in West Virginia that are in need.Scritchfield says foster care also helps establish a stable environment to continue healthy growth and development.The meeting will take place Wednesday night, May 28^th between 6:00 and 8:00 at 123 South Maple Street in Martinsburg.
