Delegate Craig Blair voiced his opinion on the pay increases lawmakers passed for themselves during the most recent legislative in a letter he wrote just after the bill was passed.Blair said he voted against the bill because the citizens of West Virginia made it clear they did not want it done and because he feels the issue was handled in an illegal manner.Earlier this week Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Russ Weeks filed a law suit against the governor and the state legislature over the bill and Blair said he is glad someone is taking action to see the legislation changed, although as a delegate he can not take part in it himself.A similar bill passed the Senate last year but was not picked up by the House. Blair says the bill passed this year because many seats are running unopposed and so lawmakers will not have to answer to the voters.Blair has posted his letter on his website http://delegatecraigblair.com/.
