Nearly 170 men and women dressed in gowns and tuxedos will gather tonight at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown for a night of fine dining and dancing at an event called “Tuxedo Junction.”The event is being hosted by Friends of Music, a non-profit group whose mission is to support musical excellence at Shepherd University. The Operations Manager for the Shepherd University Department of Music Esperanza Alzona says the event is a fundraiser for the Shepherd University Music Department and will feature a silent auction, a cocktail hour and dancing until midnight.Alzona said the auction will feature tickets to concerts, vacation packages, Rams season tickets and more all to benefit the music department at Shepherd. The committee in charge of the gala has been planning the dance for the last year. Alzona says it will probably become an annual event because the response has been overwhelming.A waiting list was established to handle the over flow of people interested in attending.
