West Virginia Truckers Get a Break

West Virginia will extend the expiration for all Class B, apportioned Class BA and Class X motor vehicles for an additional two months in light of soaring diesel fuel costs. The announcement came from the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles after Governor Joe Manchin asked that the July 1st expiration date be pushed back to September.Assistant to the Commissioner of the West Virginia DMV Steve Dale said the move will help the trucking industry deal with the rise in fuel cost and offer them options for the large number of payments that come due in July. The DMV will be alerting all law enforcement agencies and other commercial vehicle enforcement agencies in the U.S. and Canada about the extension.Truckers can pay their fees any time after July 1st or can opt to take advantage of the September 1st extension.
