The Berkeley County Ambulance Authority announced the anticipated arrival of two new ambulances at Thursday’s Berkeley County Commission meeting.Charles Hall of the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority made the announcement and said the new ambulances will cost less to maintain and improve the over all efficiency of the fleet. He said the ambulances were acquired through the authority’s fleet improvement program.One of the new ambulances will replace an older one that will be decommissioned, bringing the total number of ambulances in the fleet to 11 once the new units arrive at the end of next week.
