Music in the Mountains Saturday

Country and bluegrass fans will be heading to the “Music in the Mountains” concert series Saturday, for the 12th year of the highly acclaimed series.  Over the past years, military bands from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard have all participated in the series.Marsha Wassell, of the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, told us that the concert will be held in a new location from previous years.  At 6:00pm people need to go to the Mather Training Center on Camp Hill in Harpers Ferry.  Wassell said the venue for military band concerts was chanegd midseason last year.Saturday’s show will feature the first performance of “Country Current” at the park, a country music ensemble from the U.S. Navy.  The group has performed with artists such as Boots Randolph and Charlie Daniels, and has made appearances at the Grand Ole Opry.
