Martinsburg High School Pitcher Brandon King had a big weekend. On Saturday he was named the West Virginia Baseball Player of the Year, and then on Sunday Brandon decided to sign a contract with the Washington Nationals. Brandon was drafted by the Nationals in the 27th round of the draft. Brandon will fly to Florida on Tuesday to start training with the Nationals rookie league team. Brandon finished the year with a 8-2 record with a 1.53 ERA and help lead the Martinsburg Bulldogs to the 2009 State Baseball Championship.
