North Branch of the Library Set to Close and Relocate
The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Public Library North Branch will close Saturday as they prepare to relocate. The library has been housed in the lower level of the Marlowe Ruritan building but will soon move to a two-acre site in Spring Mills.
Director of the Public Library Pam Coyle says they hope the new location will open on the 15th of September. The books will be moved the week of the eighth provided doors are in place so the materials can be secured. Coyle says the current space is only about 500 square feet so the move is important to help meet a continuing increase in circulation. The new space will triple the current facility.
