Informational Meeting on PATH Scheduled

At the beginning of the month the West Virginia Public Service Commission announced that 11 public hearings would be held regarding the Potomac Appalachian Transmission Highline, or PATH project.  The first meetings are scheduled for September 22 and 23 in Shepherdstown.  Patience Wait works with several groups opposing the project.  She says that ahead of the public hearings an informational meeting has been planned for September 20th at the Jefferson County Community Center at Sam Michaels Park.  The meeting starts at 3:00pm and runs until 5:00pm.  Wait says it will be an opportunity for interested citizens to get more information prior to the public hearings, which may be their only chance to be heard.  The Public hearings will be held at Shepherd University’s Frank Arts Center.
