Martinsburg Clinches Home Field In Tough Win Over Musselman

The Martinsburg Bulldogs closed out the regular season on Friday Night with a hard fought 28-14 win over the Musselman Appleman.  Martinsburg got three touchdowns from David Gladden and a late 75 yard Interception return for a touchdown from Brandon Bishop to seal the win.  Gladden rushed for 94 yards on 13 carries to lead Martinsburg.  Musselman’s defense contained Kam Puller holding him to minus 18 yards on 12 carries.  Musselman was led by Jesse Hanes who rushed for 66 yards on 13 carries.  Musselman also got a interception return for Touchdown in the second quarter by Vincente Hernandez.  Martinsburg finished with 247 yards of total offense while Musselman got 113 yards of total offense.  Martinsburg is now 8-2 and will wait to see who there opponent will be in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs.  Musselman falls to 4-5 on the season and will close out the season next Friday Night at home as the Number 1 team in Class AAA the Brooke Bruins will come to town.  You can hear that game Friday Night at 6:45pm right here on Sports Radio 1340 WEPM.
