After 10 days of early voting, a long day of casting ballots today, and about 3 inches of snow later, the citizens of Jefferson County made their voice heard.

Voters approved table games for Charles Town Races and Slots 6,279 votes for, 4,343 votes against unofficially Saturday.

Jefferson County Clerk Jennifer Maghan says despite the inclement weather, things ran very smoothly.

Out of the 32 precincts in Jefferson County, 28 voted in favor of table games while 4 voted against.

The official announcement of the referendum will be held Friday December the 11th at 9:30 AM in the Charles Town Library meeting room.
