Dunn Building to Reopen

Berkeley County Commissioners announced that the Dunn Building would reopen tomorrow.  After four back-to-back days of nice weather workers were able to deal with the asbestos surrounding a sunroof.  Offices were closed last week due to the potential danger of exposure to employees and the public.  Berkeley County Commissioner Bill Stubblefield says progress on the Dunn Building is coming along well thanks to the hard work of county administrator Deborah Hammond and others.  Stubblefield said that since the building is so old and the roof is so thrown together there have been different areas of the roof that needed asbestos abatement.  The most recent is the only area workers were unable to isolate, which forced the building to close.  Stubblefield hopes the entire renovation is completed sometime in January.
