Cause for paws, a non profit organization which serves as an animal hospice and sanctuary in Harpers Ferry, has been chosen by “The Civics Projects” as one of 50 non-profit facilities to be visited for volunteerism. The Projects group will be visiting 50 communities in 50 states in a little over 50 days. Major caregiver of Cause for Paws Barbara Birney says if it weren’t for volunteerism at her facility, there would be no facility. The Cause for Paws facility currently houses 17 dogs and over 60 cats who are either sick, handicapped, or homeless.
