Public Hearing on New Stormwater Ordinance
The Berkeley County Commission met Thursday night for a public hearing on the new stormwater management and sediment and erosion control ordinance that was handed down from the Environmental Protection Agency.
About 15 citizens came to listen in on the hearing while only a handful actually voiced their opinion regarding the ordinance.
County Commissioner Bill Stubblefield says even though very little can be done about the new ordinance, he is not frustrated with the situation.
Commissioner Stubblefield says this change will probably hurt developers the most, however; he says the commission has been working hard with the Home Builders Assiciation in Berkeley County to try and make this change as smooth as possible.
