The Berkeley County Commission gave their approval to a proposed triathlon event to be held at the Poor House Farm in Berkeley County. Todd Stuckey… owner of Virginia based Loco Racing came before commissioners during their meeting Thursday after talking with legal counsel Norwood Bentley and Steve Cattlett of Parks and Rec to update commissioners on his progress. Bentley offered validation of the business and commissioners agreed to support the proposal. Stucky’s last step is to obtain a permit from the State Department of Highways to specify road closures and verify cooperation from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department. The event is slated for the end of June.
