NFL Legends Announce Gridiron Legacy Football Camp

Some student athletes may get a chance to hone their skills with a little help from former pros.
Seven members of the Legends of the NFL appeared at the Martinsburg Holiday Inn Thursday Night to announce a partnership with Tri-Lake Enterprises.
Together, the two parties plan to open a Berkeley Springs-based football camp this summer for athletes ages six through 18.
Former Redskin Pro Bowl receiver Gary Clark said the main difference between the Gridiron Legacy Football Camp and other football camps comes down to simple experience.
“Most football camps you visit, they bring in a celebrity football player to be the name behind the camp,” he said. “But then, none of the people typically coaching at the skill positions are professional athletes. You can’t teach what you’ve never done.
We have all NFL players.”
Tri-Lake owner Eric Carper lent the 20 acres of land on which the camp is scheduled to be held.
“(Clark) told me he was looking for some space in northern Virginia. I told him I have a 200-acre parcel in Berkeley Springs,” Carper said.
