Domer hearing continued due to hospitalization

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A preliminary hearing was scheduled Thursday afternoon for a Martinsburg man who was charged after allegedly attacking a 86-year-old woman two months ago.

Ray Boyce with the Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney’s office tells WEPM News that the hearing was continued due to the suspect having a medical emergency  and needing to be transported to Morgantown for treatment.

The hearing for 36-year-old Adam Lee Domer will be rescheduled for a later date. He has already been charged with grand larceny, two counts of malicious wounding, and robbery.

The victim, 86-year-old Joan Staubs, was attacked leaving her home to go to church on September 2 in a suspected carjacking. She died due to severe head trauma.
