Train strikes vehicle in Morgan Co.

MORGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — A train struck a vehicle this morning on River Road in Morgan County.

According to a release from the County Sherrif K.C. Bohrer, 32-year-old Johnny Frame, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, began to have a medical emergency which caused the driver, 29-year-old Amanda Amick, to drive off the road and onto the train track.

The vehicle was unable to drive out of the path of the oncoming train. The driver and her two children, who were sitting in the back seat, were able to get out before the collison.

Frame was still partially in the vehicle when the train struck. He was later taken to Meritus Medical Center where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries.
